their porches to ward off evil spirits-
I've also heard it was used to cool the southern
hot porches during the summer.
River boats are surely a southern thing. When visiting Savannah, be sure to take a ride on one. They offer dinner cruises as well as sight seeing tours.

Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) is located in downtown Savannah.
The best way for college students to get around are on their bikes.
One of my favorite places to visit is the Savannah Candy Kitchen on River Street. It's literally like a kid in a candy shop!

Forsyth Park is the most famous and is home to this gorgeous fountain!
